Current Research Projects
Dr. Lee’s research interests include: games (both non-digital and digital) as designed experiences for learning; games to promote real-world action; gamification and game layers for education; social impact games; Asian-American identity and using technology to deliver experiences that empower minorities, or to overcome negative stereotypes/other barriers to learning.
Dr. Lee is currently looking for graduate students for various research projects. These include:
- Scholar’s Quest: The Gamification of Education Project
- Science City Heroes: Gamification of Urban Science Education Classrooms
- Greenify: Real-World Missions to Make a Difference on Climate Change
- Identity Supportive Games – creating digital games to support ethnic minority identity development.
- Gamification of Education – applying and investigating the effects of game mechanics in urban school settings.
